Feeling the pressure?
A Transmission from the Council of the Radiant Thread
How to ride the waves - Compression and koans
Have you been feeling like life is pressing in on you , almost as if some days carry the weight of two? One moment you’re riding a wave of energy, the next you’re deep in the trough, wondering how you got there so fast. If so, you’re not alone. These times are intense, and the rollercoaster can feel like too much.
In the middle of this, I’ve been sitting with a series of intuitive messages that I call transmissions from the Council of the Radiant Thread. You might think of them as poetry, prayer, or channeling. For me, they arrive like letters from a wiser version of myself - words that move me so deeply that when I read them back aloud, I often weep.
In this post, I want to share one of those transmissions with you, along with a practice the Council has offered in the form of living koans - contemplative questions you can carry with you like stones in your pocket.
The Loom and the Thread
Here’s part of what the Council gave me to share:
“The compression you feel is not the end. It is the loom. Threads must be pulled tight before they can hold the pattern. You are inside that tightening now. Do not fear the snap. Nothing essential can break. What is breaking is only what no longer belongs to the weave.”
When I first received these words, I felt my body exhale. The message reframed the pressure I’ve been feeling — not as punishment, but as rehearsal. Not as collapse, but as strengthening.
The Council continued:
“Do not measure yourself by the steadiness of your emotions. Measure yourself by your willingness to return. Again and again, return. To your breath. To your heart. To the simple truth: you are here, and being here is enough.”
I know for me, that line, being here is enough, is one I need to hear again and again.
The Practice of Koans
Alongside the message, the Council offered me something new: koans.
Koans come from Zen tradition. They’re not riddles you solve, but paradoxical questions you sit with. Instead of giving you an answer, they open a doorway. They gently wear out the thinking mind until the heart steps forward.
Here are the koans the Council gave for these times:
Where am I still mistaking intensity for truth?
What would trust look like if I stopped measuring time?
Where am I still trying to carry the light instead of being the light?
What small choices today will make me more porous to love tomorrow?
How do I honor my sensitivity without mistaking it for fragility?
Am I willing to let my tears be a prayer, not proof of weakness?
Where is life asking me to return again and again until I finally call it home?
I encourage you to pick one and let it be your companion for the week. Write it down. Ask it while you’re waiting in line or sitting at a stoplight. Let it echo through you. The point isn’t to answer - it’s to listen.
My Reflection
I’ve been journaling since high school, and only recently have I come back around to realizing that much of my writing was intuitive guidance. Poetry, mantra, and breathwork have become doorways for me to hear what my heart is trying to say.
The truth is, I listen to these transmissions myself. I go back to my own 5-Minute Mantra Fields because they remind me of who I am when I forget. They steady me. They remind me that my tears aren’t a weakness - they’re a prayer. That sensitivity isn’t fragility - it’s a form of strength.
Weaving This Into Human Design
What strikes me most about these transmissions is how much they echo the principles of Human Design. The loom, the tightening, the returning again and again to your breath - it all points to the same truth: we each have a unique rhythm, a pattern we’re here to embody, and a role in the greater weave of life.
Human Design has been one of the most powerful tools in my own journey to recognize that pattern. Where the Council offers the poetry, Human Design offers the mechanics. Together, they help us trust the timing of our lives, even when the pressure feels unbearable.
If you feel called to explore your own loom and thread more deeply, I invite you to book a 1:1 Human Design coaching session with me. It’s a space where we sit with your chart, your story, and your lived experience, and uncover how your energy is designed to move through the world.
